Copper alloy brooch fragment. Probably the lower bow from a large headstud brooch, Mackreth type Headstud 3.a or 5.a (depending on whether the lost pin was sprung or hinged). The mid to lower bow bears about eight rectangular cells apt to receive enamel, though no trace of colorant appears. The bow tapers gently to a drum-shaped pedestal foot with an annulus in its base. The tattered stub of a large unpierced catch plate projects from behind the lower bow. Fiercely abraded. Suggested date: Early Roman, 75-125

An incomplete copper-alloy late Iron Age to early Roman looped toggle fastener. The toggle has a semi circular loop, 20.9mm wide, projecting from one long side of a cylindrical body. This body is 16.9mm in diameter, decorated with two incised circumferential bands and has a conical terminal with a small apical knop. One end of the body has broken away to reveal the hollow interior of the casting.

Fragment of late Iron Age copper-alloy D-shaped terret, now very corroded but perhaps originally enamelled. It has a sub-circular or slightly oval upright collar terminal 13.7mm wide, 12.1mm tall and 4.8mm thick. From one side of this projects a triangular-section upper ring, with a flat inner and an angled outer. On the other side of the collar, at its base, is a stub of the attachment bar which shows that this was rectangular-section, 6.5 x 3.4mm, and set vertically. The overall length is 21.0mm and it weighs 7.34g.

An incomplete copper alloy transverse wing terret dating to the Iron Age (c.100 cal BC - AD 100). About one third of the ring survives.
The surviving fragment is made up of a circular cross sectioned bar bent into a curve that would have originally being circular or D-shaped in Plan. There are two surviving prominent mouldings, one placed just after a break, another at the apex of the surviving curve and traces of a moulding at the second transverse break. A copper alloy bridle bit, possibly dating to the late Iron Age to the Roman period (circa 100BC to 200AD).
The object consists of two bars placed parallel with a central moulded collar which has been worn and thus less prominent. On each end of the bit, one bar has broken off and the other continues a short distance, curving slightly outwards before also ending in a break. The object has a green surface patina, with areas of pitting, and is overall smooth.

A copper alloy ingot. It is basically rectangular in shape but with rounded ends and a waisted centre. It is flat on the bottom and domed on the top. The base has a series of vertical lines moulded into it which may be a relic of the moulding process. It has an even brown patina with little corrosion or damage. It is difficult to date this type of object, a wide date range has been allocated but it may be relatively recent in date.

A fragment of a copper-alloy late Iron Age brooch of a possible Kragenfibel rosette type (Mackreth, 2011, pg 28). It is very corroded, making typogology difficult. The wing shape suggests a coil spring, although missing, and the bow seems to have a seperate plate, which is mostly corroded away. It is decorated with longnitudinal lines. The reverse is flat, with a small D shaped bow. It appears similar to examples in Mackreth, 2011, pg 19, plate 16, 5799, 5807, 13755

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman or later Iron Age bow brooch of La Tene III or Nauheim derivative type. A portion of the integrally cast spring is retained separately. The bow has a flat cross sectional profile and is lenticular in shape, expanding to a maximum width of 8.5mm at the lower end before tapering sharply towards the foot which has largely broken off. The bow is decorated with a double row of punched dots along both lateral margins.

A complete copper alloy Toggle of Late Iron Age to Early Roman date (50 BC- AD 100). The body is baluster-shaped, the centre of the object is composed of two rounded expansions with a groove between, which taper before expanding into two discoidal terminals. A loop extends vertically upwards from the upper portions of the object, straddling the two central mouldings. This loop is of circular section and extends to a rounded, sub-rectangular form.
