Very stylised. Stable brown patina. NOT wrought iron. Sim. to Capel Garmon e.g. but horns more lunular on this ex. Muzzle crescent shaped profile, upturned nose. Arc of neck waisted severely. Neck short, ends abruptly. Attachment site- hollowing out to c1/3 way up in to neck. Some surface detail visible on base horns and one eye.

refer to scanned images 1969a-c.proximanl portion truncated in antiquity, residual ferric corrosion indicating pint at this terminal. 3 equal 'arms', each with neck flaring gently out from main body, terminating in flat circular disc at right angles to body. Discs decorated with relief yin-yang pattern within circular border, the yin-yan shaped interspaces infilled with coloured enamel (red on 2 arms, uncertain on other). Body sub spherical (slightly flattened to sides)ovoid in section. Patina broken, olive-green-lighter green mottled, early signs of bronze disease, some brassy coloure…

The obect has a curved profile (shallow curve). The central portion is sub-rectangular, flanked by 2 circular attachments, deeply recessed with a circular aperture in the centre. Projecting from very proximal part of central portion, curved piece, in profile, sub D shaped, base rises up to meet body at sharp angle, base of D circular aperture, body terminated in upward pointing hook. Dark green colour treated with unknown chemical.
