Large, high shouldered brooch with perforated triangular catchplate. Long, tapering flat bow, rectangular in section, quite sharply angled under head. Short, undecorated wings, protecting an eight-coil spring. Narrow external hook. Elaborate catchplate with five perforations, now broken. End of pin missing. Excellent condition, slightly uneven patina.

Cheek-piece with rectangular panel in centre, slightly waisted circular-sectioned arm either side, expanding out slightly to a flattened end. Central rectangular perforation (21 x 7mm). Upper surface of central panel is decorated with an incised 'X', at either side of which are two parallel vertical incised lines with diagonal incised lines between. Incised groove running around the edge of each terminal.

Fragment of a Langton Down variant brooch. Tubular wings, slightly tapering plano-convex sectioned bow; mostly missing. Trace of sprung pin. The brooch has been crudely repaired in antiquity by the addition of lead at the head, perhaps to secure the pin.

Cast copper alloy Colchester brooch. The pin and half the bilateral spring (originally of eight coils) is missing. The external chord is pressed forward and secured by a forward facing hook on top of the head. The end of the chord hook is embellished with two transverse grooves. The spring is obscured by two delicately moulded wings, both of which are embellished with longitudinal ridges. The bow is narrow, of hexagonal-section, forms one continuous curve in profile and tapers towards a plain foot. The back of the bow is marked with a series of irregularly spaced, transverse grooves. Copper-alloy Rosette brooch. Cast in one-piece. Semi-cylindrical spring-cover, damaged on under surface and at ends. Spring and pin missing. Short, curving bow, triangular foot tapering in, but missing at the bottom. The foot-plate extends behind the bow, but is damaged. One shallow moulded flute at junction of bow and foot. Most of catchplate missing. No sign of separately attached disc.
