A complete Iron Age coin; a copper alloy core of a contemporary copy gold plated stater of British uninscribed North Eastern (Corieltavi) South Ferriby type dating from 50 - 20 BC. Lunate horse left, "anchor face" above, star/sun below reverse. The obverse is struck from an obliterated die. Compare ABC, p.92, no.1743. It is struck on an oval flan that is 18.5mm long 17.4mm wide and 2.1mm thick. It weighs 3.93gm.
