Each end narrows and terminates with a thickened rim. The rim is incomplete at one end and is slightly smaller. An incomplete and corroded copper-alloy one-piece brooch of Nauheim derivative La Tene III type of the Late Iron Age or Early Roman period (c. AD 10-c. AD 100). The pin, bar, the catch-plate and most of the spring are missing. The brooch has a head forming part of the bilateral spring. The flat bow/body is irregular in plan and tapers to a break at the bottom. The front of the bow appears to be plain. This brooch is green and pitted with flecks of a dark green patina.
