A fragment of a Late Iron Age or Early Roman copper-alloy one-piece brooch of 'Nauheim derivative' La Tène III type (AD 25-100). This fragment is most of a spring of four turns, an internal chord and a small portion of the bow. The bow is flat and the front has two longitudinal incised lines which are parallel. This fragment is drab brown and the surface is corroded and pitted in places with green patches. An incomplete late Iron age or early Roman copper-alloy bead (c. 200 BC-c. AD 100). This bead is bulbous at the centre and has a longitudinal circular hole, c. 2.3mm in diameter. Each end narrows and terminates with a thickened rim. The rim is incomplete at one end and is slightly smaller. Close to this incomplete end two small diametrically opposed circular holes have a diameter of about 1.5mm. The bulbous area has an inscribed lozenge as well as oblique lines forming saltires. An incomplete and corroded Iron Age to Roman copper-alloy Colchester one-piece brooch (c. AD 25-60). The head is incomplete and has a portion of the wings. The stub of a hook is present at the top. The bow is corroded and is now sub-oval in cross-section. It tapers in width and thickness from the head to the break at the bottom. Length: 31.3mm; width of wings: 7.6mm; maximum width of bow: 3.2mm. Weight: 1.66g. This brooch is pitted overall and there is fleck of iron on the top of the head.
