An incomplete copper alloy late Iron Age/ early Roman La Tène III, Nauheim derivative brooch (100 BC - AD 100). The brooch is made in one piece, with the top of the bow narrowing and curling back on itself several times to form a spring which would then extend downwards to form the pin, there are 4 coils remaining and the top of the pin now broken. The brooch has a very thin, arched bow, which is D-shaped in section, being flat to the reverse undecorated except for a square sectioned integral plate at the centre. An incomplete late Iron Age to early Roman one-piece copper-alloy brooch of the strip bow type dating 25 to 70AD (mid 1st century AD). The wings are small and the bow below has a slight curve. An incomplete copper alloy item difficult to identify possibly dating 300BC to 410AD. It is possibly the bow from an early Iron Age brooch, part of a terret ring or mount. The fragment is long, tapering and curving in different directions and the apex and terminal at which points it is also broken. Similar to SF-70C8C7, and YORYM-017E93on the database. The length is 28mm, the width is 10mm thickness 4mm and the weight 4.07g.

A copper-alloy Romano-British pennanular brooch with knobbed terminals 40 to 350 AD. The brooch is torque-shaped, with the ends capped with spheres. The brooch is cast and the pin is intact and complete, formed from a cast strip of copper-alloy which has been carefully folded for attachment to the frame. The terminals are spherical knobs with a single rib moulding behind them. The pin is highly arched. The brooch is a fine example with a parallel in Hattatt type A3. p.130 fig 107. The diameter is 27mm, and the length of the pin 36mm.

Iron Age copper alloy La Tène III type, Nauheim derivative type brooch from the 1st Century BC-1st Century AD. The brooch is cast in one piece with a sprung mechanism but is missing the pin. There appears to be an iron concretion inside the turns of the spring. Two turns of the spring survive. The bow is very slender, undecorated and tapers to the integral catchplate which is crumpled probably by post-depositional processes but intact. There is no foot-knob on the end of the bow. A La Tène III type, Nauheim derivative type, copper-alloy Iron Age brooch from the 1st Century BC - 1st Century AD. One piece brooch and the head for the spring is intact spring missing. The pin is missing and the catchplate is intact very narrow sloping. The bow is slender and wide and tapers to the end with the catchplate. The brooch is dark brownish-green in colour. It is 83mm long, 25mm wide, 16mm thick and weighs 6.51g. A similar example can be seen in Hattatt, 2000, pp290, Fig. 149.
