Cast copper-alloy toggle of late Iron Age to Roman date c. 300 BC - 100 AD. The item is cylindrical with a bulbous central portion and two flat circular terminals. There is an intact attachment loop now broken rising from the central portion of the body, though the void underneath is now filled with hardened soil containing oxidised iron remains. The patina is mostly smooth and even, dark brown with some iron staining. The length is 24mm, the width is 11mm thickness 11mm and the weight 10.07g.
