Cast copper alloy object of uncertain function and date but possibly an Iron Age bead c. 200 BC - AD 100. The object is oval in plan and circular in cross-section. It consists of a rounded central body which tapers forming a neck at each end and before flaring slightly outwards again. The object is hollow and each end shows signs of wear. The object has a dark green patina and is in good condition. Similar examples on the PAS database include: WAW-12FD13; IOW-09D6E2; SOM-370A52 and NMS-C36251

Two fragments of a cast copper alloy tankard handle dating from the Iron Age to the Roman period (300BC-200AD). The object is a sub-oval piece of sheet copper alloy. Each end curves backwards and then forward again terminating in a break. The sides of the object are slightly rounded. The upper surface is decorated with punched dot decoration in the shape of a lentoid. Traces of gilding can be seen on the upper surface. The reverse of the object is undecorated. The object has a dark green patina which is pitted due to corrosion.

Cast copper alloy object dating from the Iron Age to Roman period, (800BC-410AD). The object consists of a face with an integral perforated suspension loop. The object is oval in plan and semi-circular in cross-section. The face is flat and the head expands backwards. The face has incised lentoid eyes, a wide, slightly raised noise and a broad smiling mouth. The hair consists of eight long raised ridges. The function is uncertain however it is likely to have been used as a weight and or a pendant. The object has a dark brown patina and is in good condition.

A cast copper alloy toggle of Iron Age to Roman date, (100BC-200AD). The toggle is comprised of two semi-circular balls joined by a wide collar. Around the circumference of the flat edges of the balls are incised lines of decoration. The toggle would have been used like an oblong button with a leather, or wool loop or just a tucked into a button hole. The object has a light brown patina and is in very good condition.

An incomplete cast copper alloy tankard handle dating to the Late Iron Age or early Roman period (300 BC - 200 AD). The fragment consists of the handle and one (of the two) attachment plates. The handle of the tankard is a pointed oval (leaf shaped) in plan and broadly D shaped in cross section. The upper edge of the handle tapers to a blunt point. Cast single-piece brooch, of Nauheim-derivative La Tené style. A thin bow of circular section bears a simple catchplate, turning at the other end into a four-coiled spring and pin. A small amount of the tip of the pin has broken away. The brooch is in extremely good condition and has a light green patina. File marks can be seen on either side of the catch plate. It can be dated from the later Iron Age to Early Roman period, 100 BCAD 100.

An enamelled cast copper alloy pin, mount or stud of probable later Iron Age or Early Roman date (100 BC-100AD). The pin is broadly circular in plan and irregular in profile, being formed from a sub-rectangular shaft and D shaped head. The upper part of the pin is broadly D shaped in profile and circular in plan, the upper part has a concave recess. This recess is filled with a red glass like enamel. The enamel is in good condition and sits at the base of the recess. It is likely therefore that the enamel once filled the recess and has broken away, leaving the remaining enamel in good …

Cast copper-alloy terret of simple form dating to the Late Iron Age to early Roman period (50 BC - 100 AD). It has a undecorated oval hoop, collars at either end of the bar and a rudimentary tang on the bar. The basal edge is bowed. It has a dark green patina and is in good condition. A similar example is fig 50, MacGregor (1976). Similar examples which can be found on the database are SWYOR-3B8107 NMS-41C378 and LVPL-F94806.

Cast copper alloy centre-looped cosmetic pestle dating to the Iron Age. The object consists of a plain concentric rod with tapered ends. The rod is circular in cross-section. There is a small circular suspension loop which joins to the centre of the concave edge of the crescentic rod, by a short stem. A small moulded collar separates the stem and the loop. It has a smooth mid-green patina and shows some sign of wear on the tapered ends. These objects can be dated from the 1st century BC to the early 2nd century AD. A similar example can be found on p.118, fig 8 Britannia Vol XVI, 1985.

Copper alloy spiral finger ring dating from the late Iron Age to the Roman period. The ring is formed from copper alloy which has been bent into a spiral ring of three turns. It is sub-circular in plan. One terminal is bent at a right angle across the upper surface. The other terminal has been broken before it terminates. The broken terminal has eight moulded circular decorations, each of which is open and contains a pellet. It has a dark blackish green patina and the remains of gilding can be seen.
