An incomplete cast copper alloy rare contienetal La Téne III period brooch, first defined by Feugère (1985, Type 11a) and dating from the late Iron Age c. 75-10 BC. The brooch has a domed sub-oval head with a circular body beneath, above a narrowed bow which contains the catchplate, part of which survives. The reverse retains part of the spring coil and pin. The main body of the brooch is decorated with punched dots, with three dotted lines running from beneath the head down the centre to the middle of the body, where the decoration extends right and left in a wide triangular design…

Part of the blade of a sword measuring 230mm in length, 28.31mm wide, 10.09mm thick and weighing 218.8gms. The blade is incomplete and is made of folded iron and has a central ridge extending down the length of each face. Corrosion is present over c.75% of the surface area, and some areas of corrosion contain small sub-angular and sub-rounded stones 1-5mm in size. A copper alloy penannular ring, possibly ring money and dating to the Iron Age (second century BC). The ring has a sub-oval cross section and is undecorated. The terminals are rounded and do not touch each other giving this ring its distinctive penannular shape. The ring is smooth and well worn, suggesting it has been well-handled.

An uninscribed Iron Age stater of the Southern (Atrebates) region (50-20BC). This is a gold plated contemporary copy of Van Arsdell type 212.03 and is similar to Hobbs No. 446, although an exact parallel could not be found. On the obverse circa 60% of the plating survives, while on the reverse 90% survives. The stater measures 16.49mm diameter, 2.85mm thick and weighs 2.7gms.

A cast copper alloy one piece brooch dating to the Late Iron Age (1st century BC/AD). The brooch is minimally decorated with only a thin cast groove down the spine. The catchplate sits sideways out from the foot of the brooch like some La Tene II variants. The catchplate is incomplete and the pin is missing, while only one partial loop of the integral spring remains.

A fragment of a possible late Iron Age triskele-type mount. The fragment consists of what could be one swirl of the triskele design, broken at all angles. The reverse of the mount is hollowed, as are other examples of this type of mount. The most similar example to be found on this database is YORYM-1A6656. The complete mount would have been is circular in plan with the openwork triskele design in the centre. Some of these mounts are actually fobs as they have a circular suspension loop on a stem above the central design. Examples of triskele mounts can be seen in MacGregor, no.39 & 40.

An Iron Age silver unit of Tasciovanus, ruler of the Atrebates c. 20 BC - c. AD 10. This is a very rare coin, with one example published in the British Numismatic Journal Coin Register 1998, no. 18, but otherwise not listed anywhere else. Rudd (2010) refers to this type of coin as the`Tasciovanus Berkshire Wreath'.

A cast copper alloy strap fitting, possible harness junction / strap distributor. Dating from the Iron Age, the fitting has an anthropomorphic central boss with a complete strap loop protruding from the left side of the head. Two more strap loops would have been present at both the right side of the face and underneath the chin. These are now missing. The features on the face area all clearly defined, including the short straight hair combed backwards from the face. No ears are depicted as these would interfere with the strap loops. A cast copper alloy late Iron Age / early Roman strap fitting. The fitting is symmetrical in form and from the centre has a recessed band flanked by a raised and thickened oval moulding with a thin incised line decorating its edges. The body of the fitting then flares outwards to where it meets a sub-rectangular terminal with five circles arranged vertically, each inlaid with red enamel. A thinly incised line separates the terminal from the flared body. The reverse of the object is plain and undecorated and has two integrally cast rectangular strap loops set vertically along the terminals.

A complete cast copper alloy brooch with copper pin. The brooch is in the shape of a cross, made up of four circular domed knops arranged around a slightly larger central domed knop. The reverse of the knops are flat and three of the knops have a hollow underside while the remaining two opposing knops are solid as they support the pin and catchplate mechinisms seperately. A cast copper alloy strap or belt slide / fitting, annular in plan with two rectangular projections on opposing sides of the circle, decorated with multiple horizontal lines. On the inner edge of the annular body are the remains of a thin strap bar, horizontally in line with the strap slide bars on the reverse. It is unclear whether this thin bar was functional or decorative. The strap that fitted through the fitting would not have been very wide or thick. The strap fitting has a nice, even dark green patina, but no close comparisions could be made. It may be Iron Age, Roman or later …

A cast copper alloy Iron Age brooch, La Tene III style brooch (Nauheim type progenitor) dating to the first century BC / AD (c. 50BC - AD 43). The brooch has a plain and undecorated round-section bow and it has some minor damage to its catchplate but is otherwise in good condition.The pin is complete, and made from circular-section wire which turns one-and-a-half times to form the spring, runs under the spring forming the chord, turns twice more and curves outwards and downwards to form the bow. The catchplate flares from the reverse of the foot.

The brooch is of unusual form; it has a domed sub-lozenge shaped body, hollow on the underside, with four solid, domed knops at the upper and lower corners of the body.
