A fragment of a cast copper-alloy probable beaded or knobbed bracelet of late Hallstatt to late Iron Age (La Tene III) date (c. 650 BC - 43 AD). The bracelet consists of two slightly curved hemispherical hollow lobes or domes conjoined via a decorative linear collar; a further collar is present one the outside of one of the lobes, indicating a further (now missing) lobe (see below). A complete copper alloy penannular bracelet, with a rectangular cross section which varies slightly in thickness. The terminals of the possible bracelet are rounded off but there is no decoration here or at any point around the loop. The metal has suffered some damage and corrosion. Although this object is just a rod of metal, it does appear to have been bent round purposefully and would be the correct size for a bracelet - there are no diagnostic features however the patina of the object is the same as other Middle to Late Iron Age objects from the area, so a date in the range of c. …

An incomplete copper alloy beaded torc or bracelet probably dating from the late Iron Age to early Roman period, c. 200 BC - AD 100. The bracelet has an undecorated flat wide band with shoulders. Above the shoulders is a section of five raised knobs or beads; the rest of the bracelet is broken and missing. Similar fragments can be found on the database.
