A cast copper-alloy mount of probable Iron Age or Roman date, perhaps a shield clip or a mount for a vesel such as a tankard. The object is rectangular in form, semi-circular in cross-section, giving it a tubular appearance. On the front face there is decoration comprising symmetrical semi-circular grooves that run from the outer corners of the mount towards the centre of the plate where they do not quite meet. An incomplete, and very small, copper-alloy end-looped cosmetic mortar of Late Iron Age to Roman date. It has a crescent shaped bow, tapering towards its terminal end, that is V-shaped in section with deep, worn central groove on the interior surface. At the thicker end of the bow the object expands to an integral oval shaped loop, missing its outer edge due to old breaks. All surfaces have a worn and corroded green patina.
