The base is sub-triangular with two-thirds of the edges being broken, the remaining third appears to be a the original edge which has a steep, slightly angled side. AD100): The terret is of the 'simple' type, comprising a rectangular basal strap loop, which is a slender oval in section and is flanked by raised sub-ovate collars. The breaks are possibly quite recent as the patina does not cover the break. The bow is a 'C' shape in profile and is oval in section with a column of low-relief pellets running down the centre of the outer face of the body of the bow.
