Treasure reference no. 2015 T252: two late Iron Age silver coins. Both are southern Gaulish 'monnais-a-la-croix' in languedoc style. Both were found in the plough-zone, approximately 50m apart along the same plough-furrow.
These coins were produced in the Languedoc region of southern France in the second century BC and are, as such, usually attributed to the Volcae Arecomici (and/or Volcae Tectosages). There are very rare finds in this country and fewer than 10 of these coins have been found in Britain. See GLO-DB0008 and GLO-0C12F8 for other examples recorded on PAS.
