An incomplete Iron Age silver coin; a unit of British uninscribed North Eastern (Corieltavi) South Ferriby Boar type, dating to the period 50 - 20 BC. Simplified boar right on the obverse with a pellet behind and ring below. Stylised horse right reverse, with double upper front legs and a pelleted ring above. See ABC, p.94, no.1800. It is 14.1mm diameter, 1.1mm thick and 0.88g. There is a piece missing from the flan.

This coins was found about 5 metres from SWYOR-3DB2CC, another much clearer core of a plated stater.

A gold Iron Age coin; a South Ferriby Stater, a North Eastern coin attributed to the Corieltauvi, probably dating from 50 BC - 20 BC (Haselgrove Period II, Phase 6). Compare ABC, p. 92, no. 1743. The centre of the coin is a coppery colour on both faces. It is probably made from a copper-rich alloy of gold. The flan is oval so any design under the horse is missing. The coin is 19.3mm diameter, 3.4mm thick and 5.39g.

A silver Iron Age coin; an uninscribed North Eastern (Corieltauvi) silver unit, South Ferriby Daisy type, phase 6, circa 50 - 10 BC. Compare ABC 1806. The coin is 15.6mm diameter, 1.7mm thick, 1.07g. Part of the edge (including the head of the horse) is missing owing to edge chips. The flan is dished. Only vestigal traces of the design survive on the obverse. The coin could also be a silver half unit, similar to ABC 1833 (Allen ZA type).

Compare ABC number 1758, SWYOR-9721B5 and LIN-AA2382. The coin is 17.7mm diameter, 3.4mm thick and 4.42g. It is slightly dished. It is an orange brown colour and the obverse is from a very worn die.

It is a North East Domino type attributed to the Corieltauvi and dating from 50 BC - AD 10 (Haselgrove period 2, phase 6). Compare ABC number 1758,SWYOR-9721B5 and LIN-AA2382. The coin is 19.9mm diameter, 2.2mm thick, and 4.28g. It is slightly dished. It is a coppery red/orange colour with some pitting but no patina. It is not clear whether it is gold or copper alloy from visual examination alone.

An Iron Age coin; a plated copy of a gold stater, North Eastern 'Ferriby' series (attributed to the Corieltavi), and dating from c. 50-20 BC (Haselgrove Period II, Phase 6). Compare ABC 1752 and LVPL-63A462 and DUR-8BD935. The coin measures 18.6mm diameter, 2.6mm thick and 5.37g. It is dished, and cracked round the edge. The obverse is almsot entirely plain, as is common for these coins. ABC lists this type as very rare.

A British Iron Age uninscribed gold quarter stater, an Eastern, "Ingoldisthorpe" type, dating from about 80 - 50 BC. One face of the coin displays a "three men in a boat" motif; the other face depicts a horizontal bar with a comb-like motif and radiating lines above. Compare ABC 2448, p.124 and CCI-31171. The coin is attributed to the Catuvellauni in ABC.

It depicts a stylised boar facing right on the obverse, and a stylised horse facing right on the reverse. Compare ABC number 1800 (page 94) which corresponds to Van Arsdell numbers 875, 877-1 or BMC 3214-17. The coin is 17.16mm long, 13.87mm wide and 1.55mm thick. 1.28g.

A cast lead / tin rich copper alloy coin; an Iron Age Potin, probably Kentish (of the Cantii Tribe), probably Late Dump type, similar to Van Arsdell number 139-1. The coin probably dates from 40 - 35 BC. It shows a crude Celticized head of Apollo right on the obverse, and a celticized bull made up of straight lines on the reverse with a pronounced pellet in the centre of the coin.
