A copper alloy Iron Age or Roman mount, possibly a decorative shield clip or tankard fitting dating from about 300 BC - AD 100. The mount consists of a hollow tubular sheet of copper alloy decorated with a series of circumferential raised collars and grooves forming three bands. It is C shaped in cross-section and does not appear to be broken. It is 13.5mm long, 9.2mm wide and 6.6mm thick. 1.16g. The sheet is 0.83mm thick.

A copper alloy Iron Age mount in very good condition. The mount has a sub-spherical knob on a curved base.
The base is an elongated oval in plan, with rounded ends. In profile, the bottom edge is convex suggesting the mount was fixed to a concave surface. The reverse, or underside is concave; U shaped. There is a small circular rivet hole in each end of the base, on the top face. The top and sides are decorated with curved double grooves. A copper alloy incomplete probable mount dating from the Iron Age. It appears to have been sub triangular in shape originally. It is in two pieces that have been glued together. The front of the mount is slightly convex and is decorated with a spiral forming a circular roundel with a double spiral in the centre. The object is bright green and a reddish brown colour, the contrast seeming to follow the pattern and highlight it. It is not clear whether this is differential corrosion or whether the reddish areas were originally enamelled. There does not appear to be enamel surviving now. …

A copper alloy probable Iron Age rectangular mount. The front has a pattern which seems to be a sinuous "Swash N" ornament, and a fixing hole (now filled with corrosion) is located in each corner of the mount. The border of the mount shows traces of incised line decoration. Traces of what could be degraded enamel also survive. It has a length of 24.64mm, width 18.48mm, thickness 4.11mm and a weight of 9.12g. Compare YORYM-9CDF58
