An Iron Age gold coin; a British North Eastern (Corieltavian) uninscribed stater ("South Ferriby type") dating from c.50 - 20BC. The coin has a diameter of 16mm and weighs 5.6g. There is an abstract wreath design on the obverse, and an abstract horse on the reverse. It is in very good condition. A silver Iron Age coin; an uninscribed North Eastern (Corieltavian) unit (a "Ferriby" type). The flan is oval and dished. The coin is broken with one end of the oval missing. In its current condition it has a maximum diameter of 13.9mm and is 1.7mm thick. It weighs 0.92g. The coin dates from circa 30 BC - AD 10. For reference see Van Arsdell number 877 or BMC number 3218.

An Iron Age silver coin; probably a fractional unit of the Corieltauvi, dating from 45 – 10BC, South Ferriby Type, Classification: Corieltauvian D. The coin has a diameter of 9.47mm and is 1.3mm thick. It weighs 0.27g, but one edge is damaged and missing. Probably Van Arsdell number 881-1, a fraction of 877-3 to which the design is more similar. The obverse die was used until almost completely obliterated, which is why the boar is not visible on the obverse.

A cast lead / tin rich copper alloy coin; an Iron Age Potin, probably of the Cantii Tribe, Angular bull type, similar to Van Arsdell number 129-1 & BM (Hobbs) 670ff; Rudd ABC 171. The coin probably dates from 85 - 50 BC. It has a diameter of 18mm. It shows a Celticized head of Apollo right on the obverse, and a celticized bull charging left on the reverse. This appears to be the first Potin recorded on the PAS database found in North Yorkshire. The coin appears to be in good condition.

A celtic fractional silver unit, probably a South Ferriby type of the Corieltauvi. (see Van Arsdell 887-1) or possibly a Hostidius type also of the Corieltauvi (see Van Arsdell 855-3 which has a similar but much less worn boar, or 857-3 which is similar except for the horses front legs and mane). There is a small chip out of the edge of the flan. The coin is 10.8mm in diameter and 1.1mm thick. It weighs 0.45gm. The coin dates from 55 - 10 BC.
