Description: A gold-alloy bracelet with loop terminals, Iron Age (c. 100 - 50 BC). The bracelet is comprised of two ropes plaited together, each rope is made up of two wires twisted together. Each terminal is formed of two loops. The outside surface of the terminals has been filled with a lower melting temperature gold-alloy containing approximately 16% more copper than the rest of the bracelet. A copper alloy possible penannular bracelet which is possibly Iron Age or Roman. The bracelet is not complete and perhaps almost half is missing. The bracelet is 52.8mm long, 31.9mm wide and 4.7mm thick, the main part of the bracelet being circular in section with a diameter of 4.7mm. Its maximum diameter is in the middle of the bracelet near the break, and it tapers towards the other end before widening again just before the terminal.
