A copper alloy fragment of a three-link bridle bit dating to the Late Iron Age or Early Roman period (AD 1-100). This object was originally incorrectly identified as an Iron Age Vessel mount as detailed below, but this error was kindly pointed out by Jeff Hatt (see error report at the bottom of the record). The find can be compared to WILT-13C344. A copper alloy vessel mount dating from the late Iron Age or Early Roman period. The mount is probably the handle escutcheon from a vessel such as a bucket.
