Copper alloy Langton Down brooch, this has tubular wings that wrap around the spring encompassing it within a cylinder, the pin protruds from a vertical slit situated in the centre, rear of the wings. Most of the bow is missing having been truncated just below the head, the remaining section is decorated with seven vertical recessed lines. date AD 25-60

Copper alloy beaded torc fragment which consists of three equal sized solid circular beads that have a semi-circular circumference and flat sides. Each bead is joined to the next by an integral narrow wasted bar. These bars are decorated with a double pellet border at either end. Either end is truncated. The object is slightly curved in plan. See SWYOR-1740A7, LIN-39A9E7 and DENO-B0A936 fro other examples that are recorded on the database.

Copper alloy handle that comprising of low arching handle that is decorated with a tight twist. The final 57mm of the handle is plain and terminates in penannular hook, the tip of the hook has a tapering section that has been bent back on itself. One terminal has been truncated in antiquity. And exact parallel can be seen on the handles of the Broockland Bucket that is held I the British Museum (Registration number1907,0715.1). This example has two handles, both with twisted bars and serpentine hooked terminals mounted onto a copper alloy bucket that has been dated to 700BC-450BC…

Copper alloy toggle or strap slide,that consists of a central sphere that has an oval hole passing through the centre. The sides are decorated with two curving lines that meet in the centre and extend outwards to the edges of the central hole. Flanking the centre sphere are two narrow waited arms that has a spherical terminal, the arms are defined from the block by a groove. Similar examples are recorded on HESH-EDB833 and BH-417200 and date to 200BC to 100AD

An incomplete cast copper alloy Birdlip brooch length 43mm, width 14mm, thickness 15mm, weight 11.96. The brooch would have had an integrally cast spring and pin at the back of the head but this is now missing. At the apex of the bow are two opposing hooks facing each other to form a beak like projection. Flanking this are two knops on either side of the bow that for the eyes. The rest of the bow is plain with a depressing on either sides Birdlip brooches are thought to be British variants of the continental Flugelfibel brooch.
