Copper alloy Colchester one piece brooch with the spring cast integrally with the bow, but only the top of the spring remains. There is a rearwards facing hook on the top of the head which would have held the external cord of the spring. small tabs/wing project either side of the head to protect the spring. The bow is plain and tapers to the pointed foot, catch plate is missing. Date. 25-60AD

A variant of a Class II type British potin. Late Iron Age c. 60 BC - c. 30 BC). It shows an abstract head facing left on the obverse, the reverse is illegible. The coin has ragged edges.

Cast copper alloy Rosette brooch length 27mm, width 26mm, thickness 13mm, weight 11.09g.Tubular wings hold the spring in place, there is a slot in the rear for the pin, the head of the bow has a series of moulded decoration running down its length, the rest of the leg would have been riveted to the head with a large plate behind, this is now missing, the lower two thirds of the bow.

Copper alloy strip-bow brooch length 44mm, width 15mm, thickness 7mm, weight 4.47g. The back of the head is rolled back on itself to hold the pin support bar, which is now missing. A slot in the centre of the back of the head to accommodate the pin, the pin is now missing. Expanded edges run down the length of the bow, catch plate is complete.
