A fragment of a copper-alloy harness fitting terret ring of late Iron Age to Roman date, c.100 BC - AD 100. The terret is a 'simple' type. An almost complete late Iron Age enamelled copper alloy harness fitting (toggle or cheek-piece), dating to c.AD 1 - 100. The fitting is a sub-rectangular in plan with swollen central block and either side the arms are slightly narrowed. The arms are circular in section and slightly expanded at the terminal. The central block has rounded edges and has a slightly rounded rectangular shaped perforation running through it.
