Possible Iron Age carved stone head.The head is carved from a single piece of limestone with a high quantity of shelly material within it.The face is tilted slightly to the left.It has distinctive lentoid eyes and a large wedge-shaped nose with a very simple slit mouth.The ears are also very simply carved.The back of the head is very smooth, although there appears to have been some attempt to create some form to the back of the head.The head has been truncated at the neck with a straight cut.

Unidentified copper alloy object of uncertain date. The object appears to to depict the eyes and snout of an animal. The back of the object is slightly hollow. The lentoid eyes lead to the suggestion that it could be the snout from a bulls head bucket mount dating from the Late Iron Age to Roman dating, circa 1st - century BC to 1st century AD.

Copper alloy escutcheon in the form of a human head of possible Iron Age or Roman date (c.100BC to 100AD). The face has distinctive lentoid eyes and a simple nose, with a short straight cut line for the mouth. There are also faint traces of mould line suggesting a hairline across the forehead and down the sides of the face.The back of the object is flat. Prof Martin Henig (pers comm) suggests this may be an applique from a bucket or similar.

A copper alloy, possibly La Tène type, dagger or sword chape dating to the Early Iron Age (800-300 BC). The chape is anchor-shaped and consists of a rectangular (oval in section) central section which narrows. From this project two curving and tapering arms which create the anchor shape. These arms terminate in a circular bulbous projection, which have a slight indentation on one side only. A fragment of a beaded torc or bracelet from Iron age to early Roman period (c100 BC- 200 AD). One end of the torc has a hollow fitting that would adjoin to a curved bar to complete the neck-ring (hollow bar absent). Five beads are intact and each bead has a centrally raised band with a milled circumferential line. On either side of the centre band are two similar milled bands. The object has a brown patina is brown with the hollow fitting showing green.

An incomplete late Iron Age to early Roman copper-alloy Langton Down brooch dating c25-60AD. The hollow wings and spring are still present. The bow is sub-rectangular in plan and cross-section, it is decorated with three vertical moulded lines. The open-work catchplate and pin are missing.

Complete copper alloy Sompting Type (variant Cardiff II) socketed axe, dating from the Earliest Iron Age c. 800-600BC. The axe has an almost square socket that appears to retain traces of a wooden haft. The axe is broadly triangular in section and tapers to a flared convex cutting edge. There is a semi-circular loop near the socket rim on one side. Only one face of the axe retains its original surface and this has three ribs the central one of which terminates in a pellet.
The axe has a dark brown/green patina but is pitted and rough in places.

Copper alloy harness fitting or terret ring of later Iron Age to early Roman date (c. 100BC – 100AD). The terret is D-shaped in cross section. The attachment bar is rectangular in cross section and triangular in plan with the rounded point of the triangle projecting below the bar. On either side of the bar are two circular stops. At the apex of the ring is a smaller circular moulding which has two circumferential grooves. There is no other decoration present. The terret has a mid-green coloured patina with some areas of corrosion and abrasion.

Cast copper alloy, late Iron Age or early Roman, escutcheon or mount in the form of a swan or goose head.
The object comprises a ring that is 25mm in diameter, 5.27mm thick with an internal diameter of 15.4mm.The mount takes the form of a swan or goose-head with the neck curved to create the loop from which the ring hangs.The bill of the bird rests on its "breast" which is crudely decorated with 4 parallel, V-shaped grooves.
Total length (of both elements) 48mm; width of mount 11.44mm; thickness of mount 16.04mm.The object weighs: 20.2g.

Fragment of a copper alloy object, possibly a harness fitting (‘fob dangler’) late Iron Age or Early Roman date (c. 50-150AD). The front of the object has been moulded decoration comprising four sub-circular raised bosses, each surrounded by a raised scroll which join at the centre. This is a style consistent with Iron Age ‘Celtic Art’ motifs (Adam Gwilt pers comm). The reverse is undecorated but with concave depressions on the revere of each of the bosses. At the centre there appears to be the remains of a central hub.

Fragment of a copper alloy Iron Age to Roman harness fitting; a knobbed terret of dating from AD 1 - 150. The top part of the hoop is missing but is D shaped in section with a flat attachment bar which is sub-rectangular in section. This attachment bar is set between two sub-circular terminals. Two globular knobs survive, one on each side of the remaining hoop. The terret has a slightly pitted green patina.
