An Iron Age gold stater, Selsey Two-Faced type of the Regini and Atrebates dating to 60-50 BC. This is an ABC 485, BMC 445, 447, 499-54. Rudd (2010:47) writes "Many more Selsey type gold staters [ABC 485-497] are found around Chichester than Silchester, indicating that this large and widely circulated series of triple-tailed staters was first struck by the Regini, not the Atrebates, and that they spread south to north, not the other way round." An Iron Age gold stater, Westerham South type of the Regini or Atrebates dating to 60-50 BC. This is an ABC 482, BMC 24-32. Rudd (2010:47) writes "More Westerham South gold staters [ABC 482] are found around West Sussex and the Solent than North Hampshire, indicating that they were probably produced by the Regini, not the Atrebates." Obverse: Wreath design with crescents and cloak. Reverse: A disjointed horse left, stick legs and many pellets above. Dimensions: diameter: 18.60mm; weight: 6.27g.
