An incomplete late Iron Age Romano-British cast copper-alloy button and loop fastener dating from 300 BC - AD 100. This is a Wild Class 1, with a solid double-boss head and heavy ring-loop (Wild 1970:137-139, fig I no I). The fastener is formed of a double-boss head consists of two parallel identical joining flat circular bosses with the remains of an looped integral shank which is then bent at a roughly 90 degree angle.

This hoard comprises a copper alloy bowl, the fittings from a copper alloy bucket, and part of a clay pot. Buckets such as this one are usually found in high-status cremation graves from the mid-first century BC, alongside other pots, jugs and pans. These were drinking sets, used for serving mead, wine or beer at feasts. Perhaps the deceased hosted such feasts in life, or maybe this was a way for the living to share the funeral feast with them. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age La Tene 1Bc brooch, dating 400 - 250 BC. The brooch has a flat-sectioned bow, it is a pointed oval in plan, its upper surface decorated with two concentric grooves with transverse incised grooves within. At the top, the bow tapers into a remnant of the upward-curving spring. At the foot, it tapers to form a right facing catch plate.
A brooch with similar decoration on the database is BH-9A0EEC.
