Measurements: 20.39mm at widest point with sprue, 16.63mm in diameter, 3.6mm thick and 3.62g in weight. Discussion: Thurrock / Kent Primary potins are closely linked to continental examples and a number of the sub-types classified as Thurrock or Kent Primary types may be continental rather than of the Cantiaci.

Discussion: From BERK-A92065"Known as the 'Gallic War uniface' stater these coins were struck by the Ambiani in northern France almost certainly during the Gallic War [period] (c. 60-50 BC ) and imported into Britain during the late first century BC. These gold coins are frequently found in southern Britain where they circulated in large numbers, and where some [varieties] may also have been produced."
