A copper-alloy La Tène III type brooch dating from the 1st Century BC- 1st century AD (Hattatt 1987, 22). The brooch consists of a thin bow roughly ovoid in section which turns a near righ end down toward the spring. The spring/pin, which would orignally have been an integral continutation of the bow coiled around on itself has been broken off halfway through the second coil. A copper-alloy ring likely a bead of Iron Age to early-medieval date. (c.800BC-700AD). The ring is not evenly shaped being thicker in one hemisphere than the other. The band is roughly D-shaped in profile although the inner side of the ring appears to have been bevelled to some degree. The surface is dark brown with some very sparse patches of dark green surface patination. Colour is slightly silvery which may suggest a high tin alloy.
