A Fragment of copper-alloy probable Colchester derivative brooch likely c. 15 BC - AD 100. Description: The fragment represents the openwork catch plate and foot terminal of a brooch. Its' upper surface of the bow has a raised cast ridge by way of decoration along the bow. The bottom of the catch plate remains folded at right angles to rest the pin in. It has a light green patin. Description: The brooch is of one piece construction consisting, although only the bow and a small section of the catch plate remains. At the head end a small hook remains of twisted bilateral spring. This extends to the circular cross-sectioned bow and beneath this at the foot end is a flattened sub-trapezoidal stub of the catch plate. The entire object has a light grey-brown colour.
