Description: The pair of stubby roughly rectangular wings flanking a central loop for a copper-alloy spring and iron axis bar remains only as a worn stubs. A cast worn copper alloy and iron vase-headed linch pin terminal of late Iron Age to Roman date (c.400 BC - AD100).
Description: The terminal has a flattened disc-shaped head with worn edges to give it a now rather misshapen appearance. Below the terminal is a short neck which has been protected by the terminal above and vase-shaped body below. Thus the neck patina is a very shiny and smooth blue-green in colour.
