An Iron Age silver unit of the Kent Region / Cantiaci, struck in the name of Amminus, dating to the period c.AD 30-40, Amminus Hippocamp type. Obverse 'A' inside double wreath. Reverse Hippocamp right 'AM[_]' below. As ABC, p. 45, no.462; VA 194; BMC 2520-21.

A copper-alloy core, possibly from a plated gold Iron Age stater of unclear type, perhaps dating to the period c.60-20 BC. Obverse type is illegible or blank. Reverse type possibly depicting a stylised horse? Small areas of the gold plating remain visible on both faces, however the original type is unclear.
Measurements: 15.59mm in diameter, 3.74mm thick and 3.62g in weight.
