A copper-alloy ring likely a bead of Iron Age to early-medieval date. (c.800BC-700AD). The ring is not evenly shaped being thicker in one hemisphere than the other. The band is roughly D-shaped in profile although the inner side of the ring appears to have been bevelled to some degree. The surface is dark brown with some very sparse patches of dark green surface patination. Colour is slightly silvery which may suggest a high tin alloy. The ring is in relatively good condition which may suggest it comes from the latter end of the suggested date range.
