Late Iron Age to early Roman copper alloy terret. The terret is oval (sub-circular or D-shaped) in form with an oval ring which is circular in cross section and thinnest and narrowest at the top (4.5mm diameter), widening and thickening evenly down both sides towards the terminals where they are 7.2 and 8.6mm in diameter. The terminals are thickened and widened into almost circular cross-sectioned collars, up to 9.5mm across, and appear plain although any decoration may be lost to wear and corrosion. The bar is oval in section, slightly narrowed and noticably thinned, it appears to wi…

Iron Age copper alloy brooch, probably of La Tene I, B or C type dating to 400 to 200 BC. The brooch has three coils remaining on the right side and the end of the spring appears to bend back over the last coil suggesting an internal chord although this might be damage. The initial part of the spring has straightened but the junction with the bow is marked by a thickening. The plain bow is circular in cross section, swelling towards the centre and highly arched. The foot bends out at 90 degrees to the end of the bow and is very worn, plain, solid and flat with the end bent over. This …
