A copper alloy Iron Age (c.400-200 BC) La Tène I brooch, cf. Hattatt Fig.147 no.4. THe pin and one of the spring coils has become detached, but it the brooch is otherwise complete. Overall it measures 50.50mm long, 13.85mm wide and 14.35mm thick. It weighs 7.91g.
The spring is a four coil type. From the spring the bow extends forward and curves downward, expanding from a width of 3.15mm to 7.35mm. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age (AD c.25-100) La Tène III Nauheim derivative brooch, missing the foot, the catchplate, the pin and some of the spring. It has been bent out of shape. Overall it measures 39.00mm in length, 11.85mm in width and 9.30mm in thickness. It weighs 4.26g.

An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age (400-200 BC) La Tène I type brooch. It measures 34.20mm in length, 9.50mm wide, 9.85mm thick and weighs 3.31 grams. The head with its integral spring and the pin are missing.
The bow extends outwards from the neck at a 45-degree angle before levelling out again and forming a leaf shape. When it narrows again it bends inwards at a 45-degree angle before levelling out at the foot. The foot bends sharply outwards and back on itself. An incomplete copper-alloy Iron Age/Early Roman Langton Down brooch dating to the period AD c.25-60. The brooch is missing its pin, spring and catch plate along with as much as half its length. The semi-tubular wings, originally holding the spring, are also damaged. The bow of the brooch is bent at a forty-five degree angle and tapers towards the break. There are several grooves running lengthwise along the front. In cross section the bow is a stretched D shape. c.f. Hattatt Fig 165, nos. 39, 269, 770 and 769.

An incomplete Late Iron Age-early Roman copper alloy Alesia-Aucissa variant strip bow brooch dating to the first quarter of the 1st century AD. The head appears to have been rolled under and the incomplete bow is 23.15mm in length and tapers away from the wings from 7.75mm to 4.50mm. It is rectangular in cross section, is 1.25mm thick throughout and is gently curved. The front has two vertical lines of punched decoration. It is missiing its spring, catchplate, one of its wings and the lower part of the bow.

Circumstances of discovery: Found during metal detecting at a depth of 9-10 inches in two separate deposits.
Description: A hoard of 75 Iron Age silver south western staters. Found in two adjacent deposits consisting of 13 staters and 62 staters. The first 13 staters were discovered on 11/08/2013 with the remaining 62 discovered on 15/08/2013. Catalogue listed in order of discovery.

A complete Iron Age or Roman (200 BC - AD 200) copper alloy bow brooch (possible knee variant) with hinge mechanism, missing the curl of the catchplate. The brooch measures 57.75mm in length and weighs 9.94grams.
The tubular wingspan is 9.20mm. The axis bar is visible at each end of the wing. To the reverse is a slot which holds the pin, the pin has been bent inwards roughly three quarters along its length.
