A gold-plated contemporary copy of a late Iron Age gold stater of the Western Regioni / Dobunnic tribe - attributed to CATTI - dated c. 20 BC - AD 40. The coin is formed on a copper alloy core with a gold plated surface - this contemporary copy variant is not listed in BMC or ABC volumes but can be paralleled against two coins (CCI-01202 and CCI-971513) recorded within the Celtic Coin Index (housed by PAS). Catti ruled according to ABC c. AD 1 - 20. cf. BMC 3057-60 cf. ABC 2057 cf. Van Arsdall: 1130
