Copper alloy with gold plating coin. Base metal plated stater of the Corieltauvi, VEP issue of Haselgrove Period 3 Phase 7, circa 20 BC- AD 10; cf. Van Arsdell no. 905-2. Obverse description: Now blank, plating mostly lost. Reverse description: Celticised horse left, horse head made up of pellet with triangle for nose, inscription above horse. Reverse inscription: VE[P] Diameter: 19.1mm, Thickness: 2.6mm, Weight: 2.82gms.
