13 sherds of black burnished ware vessels. Wareham/Poole harbour fabrics. Reduced grey to black fabric with occasional oxidised patches. Tempered with quartz sand from coarse to quite fine grained. The surfaces are heavily burnished, sometimes with visible lines. The vessels are handmade. The sherds are abraded. There are seven rim sherds and one base sherd from jars, one rim sherd from a dish, two bowl rims, one pedestal base from a bowl, and one undiagnostic body sherd. Reduced dark grey to black fabric (occasionally buff or orange oxidised) with abundant, rounded, translucent, quartz sand (up to 2 mm). The sherd is from a jar. A body sherd with burnished on the exterior and decoration in the form of an "eye" motif i.e. a circular groove with a raised boss in the centre. On the inside of the vessel is a slight concavity where the "boss" of the decorative element has been pushed out. The sherd is abraded. Handmade vessel.

A single large sherd of pottery. A body sherd from a handmade jar. The fabric is reduced and dark grey with moderate rounded quartz sand temper and very occasional larger inclusions (one of which is a piece of chert 14 mm in length). The exterior surface is coarsely burnished and there are occasional burnish lines and scratches on the interior surface. Lorraine Mepham of Wessex Archaeology has identified this as early to middle Iron Age and of a fabric type found on other sites in Wiltshire.
