A fragment of a copper alloy object, possibly part of an Iron Age ring headed 'swan neck' pin dating to c. 400 BC- AD 43. The head of the pin is a ring, with the edges raised. Part of the edge is worn and broken. Contained within the ring are traces of red brown material, and possibly fragments of glass. The outer edge of the ring is also concave with raised edges. From one edge a shank extends, this is sub rectangular in cross section, and ends in a worn break. The object has a mid green patina, and measures 21.9mm in length, 18.6mm in width, 4.9mm in thickness and weighs 4.3…

A complete copper-alloy sprung brooch of the straight bow type, dating to the Middle Iron Age (c. 275-150 BC). The brooch is rectangular in plan and appears to be composed of a either one or two pieces of wire, which is circular in cross-section. The main body of bow is flat but at the foot end it bends inwards at a 90o angle before expanding into the catchplate, which has been formed by flattening the end of the wire and curling it over. An incomplete copper alloy late Iron Age to early Roman button and loop fastener, dating from c.50 BC to 50 AD, Wild Class I. The fastener has a double disc head, both discs are inset, possibly to contain enamel. There is a circular hole or rivet in one of the discs. The other disc is worn and broken, and only a third of it survives. Projecting from the reverse of the discs is a heavy ring-loop, which is triangular in shape, and sits parallel to the discs. The fastener has a dark red brown patina, and measures 21.7mm in length, 17.3mm in width, 9.6mm in thickness, and weighs 5.18g. …

An incomplete late Iron Age to early Roman copper alloy brooch dating from c. 25-70 AD. The brooch consists of the bow and spring. The spring loops twice before crossing across the back of the bow, which is rectangular is cross section and narrows towards the terminal end which is a rounded point. There is no decoration, and the brooch has a dark green patina. Patches of the surface of the brooch are worn and broken. The brooch measures 33.6mm in length, 8.1mm in width, and weighs 1.64g. A similar brooch can be seen in Mackreth 2011 Vol.2 pl10 no.4831.

A complete copper alloy Iron Age terret ring. The ring consists of an oval hoop which is D shaped in cross section and flat on the reverse. The hoop measures 5.9mm in width and 3.8mm in thickness. The inside of the hoop is bevelled. On one side of the hoop there are two raised collars or projections enclosing a narrowed and thinned part of the hoop. There are incised lines or grooves suggesting wear on this part of the ring. The collars are sub triangular shaped and do not project to the reverse side, they measure 6.2mm in height.
