Fragment of late Iron Age copper-alloy D-shaped terret, now very corroded but perhaps originally enamelled. It has a sub-circular or slightly oval upright collar terminal 13.7mm wide, 12.1mm tall and 4.8mm thick. From one side of this projects a triangular-section upper ring, with a flat inner and an angled outer. On the other side of the collar, at its base, is a stub of the attachment bar which shows that this was rectangular-section, 6.5 x 3.4mm, and set vertically. Abraded fragment of the ring of a Late Iron Age to Early Roman enamel-inlaid copper alloy knobbed terret, both ends with ancient breaks. A very large rounded boss or knob with a moulded groove on both faces probably lay at the top of the ring. It is surmounted by a sunken circular cell with traces of red enamel. Beyond the boss on one side there is a single similar cell, and on the other another cell with two smaller ones immediately before the break. Extant length 45.3mm. Diameter of cross-section at breaks 5mm. 1st century.

Abraded fragment of a Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper alloy terret with old breaks. Lewis 2015 Simple type. What remains of the apparently undecorated loop is very badly distorted. Its size is unknown and its shape may have been either circular or D-shaped. The front is decorated with an abstract curvilinear design defined by moulded counter-relief cells, which retain traces of degraded red enamel. Very small fragment of a Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper alloy terret with ancient breaks and distorted by heat, part of a round-sectioned ring, part of a round collar and the stump of a rectangular-sectioned bar. The complete object was certainly of the D-shaped ring and bar general type, but what remains is insufficient to enable a precise class to be suggested. It was most probably of the Simple class, i.e. the ring was undecorated and lacked excrescences (Lewis 2015, 87-9). Extant length 20.2mm. Weight 5.08g. 1st century BC - 1st century AD

A fragment of a terret ring harness fitting of late Iron Age to early Roman date, around 100 BC -AD 100. The bar is slightly oval in section and crescent in plan. It has two collared projections towards the end of one terminal. Beyond the collar on both sides the ring curves and tapers to old breaks. The breaks are both worn and smooth. The terret has an overall green patina with small brown sections, notably between the collars. At the junction between the two there is an expanded collar, and at each end there is a worn break. Iron Age decorative stud, probably from harness, with a discoidal head (diameter 20mm, 4mm thick) the face comprising one large circular cell containing decayed, now whitish, enamel. On the reverse of the disc is a slightly bent integral circular-sectioned shank (8mm) which is chamfered and tapers to become square sectioned at its terminal (4.5 x 4.5mm) with a blind hole ( c. 3mm dia. by 10 mm deep) drilled at a slight angle so one side of the hole breaks through the side of the shank. Length of stud 36mm. Incomplete Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper alloy harness fitting, two flat-surfaced curving arms with animal-head terminals surviving from a triskele motif, with a scar on the outer edge of both which would have joined an outer ring.
