A piece of gold wire made from four strands twisted. The wire was made from 4 smaller wires (diameter c. 2.4 mm) twisted together in a clockwise spiral giving an overall diameter for the twisted wire of 5 mm. The wire piece weighs 7.24g and is 20mm long (unstraightened). The fragment appears to have been cut from a larger piece of wire at one end, although the other end appears to be a break. Analysis shows these wires are made of over 80% gold.

Gold rotating dorsal muff from a torc. A composite ring constructed of six components comprising two broad semi-circular-sectioned concentric hollow ribs (or tubes) between three narrow twisted wires (probably square-sectioned) soldered to a sheet inner part. The twisted wires appear very worn. The surface of the inner sheet has concentric wear and scratches where the separate parts of the torc were twisted together. External diameter 24mm. Fragment, probably from an Iron Age torc or bracelet, or a Roman bracelet. Two circular-sectioned strands of gold, each tapering slightly from one cut end to the other, twisted around each other. Total length 39mm. Diameter of strands at narrow end circa 2.5mm, diameter at the thicker end circa 3.5 - 4mm. Weight 7.5g. For potentially similar examples see PAS-845331 (Iron Age torc), SWYOR-CFE7F7 (Iron Age bracelet) and a 3rd-century bracelet in the collections of the British Museum (museum number 1883,1213.375).

Fourteen fragments of gold alloy (electrum) twisted round-sectioned wire. All, apart from three single pieces, consist of two twisted wires. All are broken at both ends into lengths between 10mm and 29.5mm. Diameter of cross-section 1.5 - 1.7mm. Weight 12.97g. A gold terminal of an Iron Age torc; the object was found by Dr Hammond whilst metal detecting as part of a survey conducted by SHARP (Sedgeford Historical and Archaeological Research Project) as part of their long running study of the history and archaeology of the parish of Sedgeford. The find consists of a single Iron Age twisted multi-strand style torc with ring terminals similar to others found in Norfolk over the last 60 years.  The torc has an internal diameter of approximately 20 cm.  It is made of predominantly gold and silver. It is made from four strands of wires twisted around each other two and a half times. Beneath the bowl there were ninety or more gold coins, plus three saucer-shaped ingots: one in gold, one in silver alloy and one predominantly of copper (Chadburn 2006, hoard 41, "Hunstanton I"). The ingots were apparently melted down after discovery. Above the bowl were three brooches and a torc fragment (ibid.). Details vague.

Iron Age coin hoard consisting of two gold staters. Both are Norfolk wolf staters, so-called JB types with a left facing wolf (Cottam et al 2010, Ancient British Coinage, p.78, no.1399). The two coins were found approximately 40 yards apart and they must represent part of a dispersed coin hoard. The larger, paler example weighs 5.14g, the smaller, darker coin 5.27g. The coins were made between about 50-20 BC. Date of loss of deposition will have been in the closing decades of the first century BC, c.30-10BC

The coins can be summarised as follows 9 Snettisham Quarters - all closely grouped from A:1 to D:6 - 8 of the Quarters are die linked from what appears to be the first sequence of the issue - none of the later Quarters with the common obverse die E have been found. 5 Irstead quarters which fall between dies F:6 and H:13 all but the one struck from F:6 being from the final die linked sequence of the issue.
