Incomplete Late Iron Age copper alloy Colchester brooch of Mackreth's (2011) Type 2.e dating to the period c. 40 BC - AD 42. It exhibits an integrally cast spring, only one loop of which survives. Projecting from the centre of the head is the integrally cast rectangular-sectioned hook which runs down the head to the top of the bow, terminating in an old break. A cast copper alloy 'Hallstatt' razor of Type Endingen (Jockenhovel 1980: 171) that dates from the Lyn Fawr phase of the Late Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age, c.800-600 BC. The razor is trapezoidal in plan, with curved corners and two circular suspension loops above a strengthening rib. The blade edge is only 0.8 mm in thickness. Copper alloy head and upper bow fragment of a single piece Iron Age La Tene/Nauheim style brooch. Bilateral four loop spring with an external chord. The pin has been bent back and only survives as a short length. The upper bow is extant and expands symmetrically in width in a curvilinear form then narrows again forming a narrow leaf shape, before fracturing transversely. There is narrow medial chevron-like decoration running down the bow probably made with a graver. Circa 100BC-AD50.

A complete copper-alloy Romano-British cosmetic pestle. The stem of this pestle is curvilinear and it has an end loop. It measures c34.9mm in length, 5.4mm in width and 5.4mm in thickness, it has a roughly circular cross-section and the stem tapers to a rounded point. The end loop is circular in shape measuring 7.4mm externally and 2.4mm internally. This pestle would have been used with a crescent-shaped mortar with a central longitudinal groove to grind up small quantities of powder or cosmetics. Iron Age decorative stud, probably from harness, with a discoidal head (diameter 20mm, 4mm thick) the face comprising one large circular cell containing decayed, now whitish, enamel. On the reverse of the disc is a slightly bent integral circular-sectioned shank (8mm) which is chamfered and tapers to become square sectioned at its terminal (4.5 x 4.5mm) with a blind hole ( c. 3mm dia. by 10 mm deep) drilled at a slight angle so one side of the hole breaks through the side of the shank. Length of stud 36mm. Weighs 14.67g. 1st century BC/AD.

It has a uniform, circular cross-section throughout and is coiled into a rigid cylindrical helix of just under two-and-a-half circular or near-circular turns.
