An incomplete cast copper-alloy brooch (Colchester one-piece) of Iron Age to Roman date (AD 25-60). Description: The bow is broadly triangular in plan, curved in profile, and oval in cross-section which tapers to a pointed foot. The head has two short wings, now mostly stubs. The head has a broken forward hook, which would have held the missing external chord and a projecting stub from the back of the head which would have extended into a one-piece spring and pin. An incomplete cast copper-alloy brooch (Nauheim derivative) of Iron Age to Roman date (c.50BC-AD50). Description: The brooch has a four-coiled spring with internal chord. The pin is broken near the coil. The spring and bow are rectangular in cross-section, tapering slightly to the pointed foot. There is a solid rectangular catchplate on the back of the foot. A cast copper alloy strap fitting  of Iron Age or Roman date, roughly circular in shape, with a d-shaped cross section. The surfaces are slightly pitted and abraded; and shows sign of wear on the interior edge, potentially from an attachment to a larger piece. It is 20.55mm in width, 17.47mm in length and weighs 10.78g. Larger examples of copper alloy strap fittings like this are  sometimes identified as beads or rings or scabbard suspension fittings (i.e. BH-11AEC2 WILT-04E485, SUR-A477DB)
