Unfinished, incomplete shale bracelet. A partially worked rough-out for a circular shale bracelet which probably broke during manufacture. About half remains in the form of a crescent shaped piece of shale with a convex front and flat underside. The outer edge has been smoothed and rounded, but the inner edge is still roughly chipped. An incomplete copper alloy bow brooch. A Colchester type one piece brooch. The wings are short and flat. There is a remnant of the integral pin and the forward projecting hook for the pin chord at the back of the brooch. The bow is oval sectioned and tapers to a pointed foot.
