Single piece brooch. Very narrow bow. The bow is leaf shaped, tapering to a pointed foot. Small catchplate remains. The bow is decorated with an incised central line with diagonal lines either side at the top end of the bow. The spring is of round sectioned wire, two coils remaining on the left side and broken off at the end of the chord.

Two rim sherds from 1st century AD large, round barrel shaped storage jars or bowls. The rims are variously described as 'flat topped' beaded rims (Sunter & Woodward, 1986, 87)or 'flattened, tapering, triangular' rims (Seager Smith, 1993, 231). The fabrics are orange in colour with buff-orange to grey core and coarse and sandy in texture. They are similar to Gussage All Saints fabric type C, thought to originate in the Wareham/Poole Harbor region in the 1st Century AD (Wainwright, 1979, 50). Fragment of a possible hinged copper-alloy bracelet, brooch or other item of personal adornment of Roman date. This is a tapering, D-sectioned, cast fragment with a narrowed, pierced tang at the wider/proximal end. It is broken at the distal end. The object is curved with a convex front. There is a small triangle of blue enamel inset on the mid line of the main body of the object, towards the distal end. The point of the triangle is towards the distal end. The back is undecorated. There is decoration on the exterior in the form of numerous randomly spaced, circular, shallow, cupped indentations. Thick walled body sherd. Heavily abraded. 21 small sherds of Black Burnished ware. Poole harbour\Wareham fabric. Largely reduced grey (occasionally patchily oxidised buff and pink) fabric with dense rounded quartz sand temper. Burnish to some interior and exterior surfaces.
15 body sherds. Two have burnished acute lattice decoration.
3 rim sherds. 2 bead rims and one slightly everted rim from jars.
1 flat base sherd from a bowl or jar.
2 handles. 1 sub-circular sectioned handle, probably from a jar or cup. 1 counter sunk lug handle from a storage jar. Handmade. Sherds are small and quite abraded.

3 reduced patchily fired dark grey and orange coarseware. Moderatefine sand temper with sparse larger stone inclusions.
3 body sherds. Thick walled, handmade vessels. One piece is carinated (probably from a jar or bowl) and is partly burnised.
The carinated vessel suggests a late pre-Roman iron age date for this material - c. 50 Bc at AD 50

A copper alloy penanular brooch wth pin missing. Bent into shape from a single piece of faceted copper with terminals bent straight outwards, and with rounded knobs at the end, each containing an incised line around their circumference. Hattatt's type B2. The ring has an accentuated thickness away from the terminals and a trapezoidal cross section. 38.55mm diameter and 5.48mm maximum thickness of ring, the terminals are 14.08mm and 13.72mm long.
