Copper alloy double-sided strap union,. The oval central plate element has a frame of two raised crescents forming a central circular recess. On one side in the recess are two large raised ring and dot/ roundel decorations flanking two smaller ring and dots with a continuous frame forming an hourglass shape. At the centre of each of the roundels on the first side is a slight projection. This design is mirrored on the other side, although it is obscured by heavy corrosion. A fragment from a enamelled cast copper alloy Crescentic terret of probable late Iron Age date. The fragment measures 36.8mm by 24.6mm by 12.1mm and weighs 18.44g. It consists of part of the hoop and a 10mm length of the cast-in-one copper alloy bar, which is narrowed with a circular cross-section (diameter 6.2mm). Beside the bar the hoop has a sub-circular cross-section (diameter 11.9mm). This narrows to around 6mm internally, with a flat rectangular cross-sectioned exterior, much of which has been damaged. Cast copper alloy fitting of uncertain date but possibly Iron Age. The fitting forms an arc (of overall length 62.9mm) and has a circular pin (diameter 6.0mm, height 4.6mm) at one end and a circular hole at the other end (diameter 6.0mm, depth 6.8mm). A copper alloy ring. A probable harness ring (a link or strap distrubutor). The aperture of the ring is circular, but the outer edge of the band is squared. Each side is an oval and between them are semi-circular knops, one at veach corner. the band is broadly recatngular in cross section.There are signs of wear on the inner surface an some slight distortion. Flanking the bar are two disc shaped terminals, each with a partial girth groove. A copper alloy knobbed terret. The terret is oval with and oval cross section around the ring. At one side there is s flatter sectioned bar with a slight knop at each end where the terret as attached to a horse harness, Around the ring are three domed oval knobs, each decorated with three parallel moulded grooves. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age lipped terret of Spratling's group V dating to the period c. 100 BC - AD 25. The terret consists of a curved frame which is oval in cross-section. The frame terminates in an old break at both ends. There are three oval knops in the form of pouting lips spaced at regular intervals along the frame, each bisected by a longitudinal groove running down the centre. A copper alloy Late Iron Age or Roman terret of uncertain type dating to the period c. 200 BC - AD 100. The terret consists of a circular frame which is D-shaped in cross section, being flat on the reverse. The frame features three moulded oval knops, each incised by two curved grooves to create an eye shape. A worn but complete cast copper-alloy strap junction dating to the period. It comprises three conjoined loops arranged in a triangular shape.Set centrally between the two upper loops and above the bottom loop is a highly stylised, elongated human head. A complete late Iron Age enamelled copper alloy harness fitting (toggle or cheek-piece), dating to c.AD 1 - 100. The fitting is a sub-rectangular with a swollen central block and either side the arms are slightly narrowed. A near complete copper alloy harness fitting of Iron Age date, c. 250-150 BC. The object is a form of terret, sub-circular in plan with a straightened attachment bar. This bar is more clearly and consistently cylindrical in cross section, and its ends are marked with bulbous circular studs. The ring then resumes its more slender cylindrical cross section, before thickening further to two flaring cups which join together at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions to close the terret ring.
