An incomplete Roman copper alloy strip bow brooch, a British variant of an Aucissa brooch, dating to c. AD 20 - 70. The surviving fragment comprises of the upper bow and damaged head, the rest of the brooch being lost to old breaks. The head of the brooch is rolled back to hold an iron axis bar, partially surviving in situ and with a rectangualr slot cut to accommodate a hinged pin.
