A worn uninscribed copper-alloy Iron Age stater of the Durotriges, South Western region, dating from c. 65 BC to AD 45. The coin is of the "Cranborne Chase" type. Due to wear, the shape of the coin is sub-triangular - like that of a shield. On the obverse, all that remains is a vertical pin shape that covers almost half the surface, with a wide crescent above it and another narrow crescent shape to the right of this. A gold Iron Age Gallo-Belgic quarter stater, dating to the period c.80-60 BC, Gallo-Belgic D / Boat Tree type. Obverse: Boat with two occupants? Pellet to left. Reverse: Tree-like motif, wedge shaped line to either side, forked line below.
The weight of this coin, combined with the pellet in obverse field and wedge shaped motifs in reverse field suggest that this is probably a Gallo-Belgic D rather than an insular British type. See Sills, 2017: p. 15, no. 25; ABC p. 29, no. 40; Scheers 13.

An Iron Age silver quarter stater of the Durotriges dating to c 50 BC - AD 43. The type is known as Duro Boat Dots. The obverse depicts 'Three men in a boat' design with what appers to be the hull of a boat with oars along the side and above three 'figures' or 'sails' and a pellet rosette to the left of the hull. The reverse depicts zigzag thunderbolts and a line of pellets across field, Y-shape and uncertain objects to each side. Copper alloy stater of South Western uninscribed type, probably minted by the Durotriges of Dorset and Somerset in the first century AD.
British Museum Catalogue Type: 2790; ABC 2175; Van Arsdell Type: 1290-1, which is dated from 30 BC to AD 10, but current thinking now dates them from the first half of the 1st century AD.
The style of these coins derive originally from Gallo-Belgic gold staters which were copying Greek gold staters in circulation at the time, with the head of Apollo on the obverse, and a horse and chariot on the reverse. The evolution of this coin's design is: …
