A copper alloy and red glass pin head (most likely the head of a dress pin, see note). The object is of composite construction The lower part is hexagonal in outline with a wide central aperture containing the domed upper section of (probable) red glass with a central separate copper alloy pin. The sides of the lower part are decorated with chevrons formed of raised oval ridges with dotted lines oitlining them and some of the spaces between infilled with moulded cross hatching.
