An incomplete copper alloy La Tene I brooch. A one-piece brooch. The bow of the brooch and part of the foot and catchplate survive but the spring and pin are missing. The arched bow is D-shaped in cross section. An incomplete cast copper alloy Iron Age brooch of La Tene I type dating to 4th - 3rd c BC. It is missing some of the pin but is otherwise complete. The head, which is a a simple cylindrical piece at right angles to the bow has six coils wrapped around it. On one side, two coils are extensions of the bow and thus hold the bow to the head. An incomplete copper-alloy Iron Age to Roman Colchester one-piece brooch dating to the period AD 25-60. The brooch is missing the spring mechanism, the ends of the wings, the pin and most of the catchplate. The head of the brooch consists of two wings, both of which are damaged. From the centre of the wings a folded element curves backwards to create a loop above the head which would have held the spring, now missing. An incomplete bent copper alloy strip bow brooch of Late Iron Age to Roman date (c. AD 25 - 75). The pin and one of the wings is missing. The brooch has been bent, its maximum length is 28.95mm in length, 12.6mm wide, and weighs 2.26 grams. The head is divided into two rolled wings divided by a central pin slot. An incomplete copper alloy bow brooch. A Colchester one-piece type. The bow, wings and stub of the integral pin only remaining. At the head are two small, flat wings. The head extends back into the stub of the pin with a remnant of a forward hook above. The bow is arched from the head and has a rounded rectangular cross section. It tapers to a pointed foot. A copper alloy late Iron Age or early Roman applied hook brooch dating to the period c. AD 25 - 100. The brooch can be classified as a Hull Group 7 T-shape brooch, type T112 or T113. The wings are C-shaped in cross-section with a perforated end cap, one of which is missing. The incomplete wing has a circular perforation adjacent to the break. A copper alloy Iron Age penannular brooch dating to the period c. 100BC - AD 43. The brooch features two terminals, one conical and the other rounded due to old damage. Both are decorated by a circumferential ridge running aorund the widest point. The body is decorated by a zigzag ridge which runs the length of the band with a groove and a linear ridge on either side. The decoration is unclear in places due to corrosion. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Colchester one-piece brooch of early Roman date. The surviving part of the brooch measures 33.4mm by 11.4mm by 13.3mm and weighs 2.6g. It comprises the crossbar (one side of which is damaged), the rearward hook which kept the incomplete chord in place, the curving bow and about half of the spring. The bow is plain and tapers to a point. Very little of the catchplate survives.

A cast copper alloy Langton Down brooch of early Roman date. The brooch measures 40mm in length and weighs 5.5g. The measurement across the incomplete cylindrical wings is 16.6mm. They conceal the remains of the spring for the missing pin. The bow has a thin rectangular cross section which is consistent throughout its length. On the front is engraved decoration comprising a vertical dotted double linear border beside each edge with a wavy line and spirals within. On the back are the remains of the perforated catchplate.
