1 sherd of pottery. Poorly fired, largely reduced brown-grey fabric with some oxidisation to the surface on the interior of the vessel (buff coloured). The fabric is tempered with poorly sorted iron stone, flint sand and calcareous pieces (up to 4.5 mm). The sherd is from the base of a handmade jar. The base is flat and plain.

3 sherds of black burnished ware pottery. Very dark grey, soft fabric with sand temper. The exterior is burnished and there is evidence of a slip on the interior in that a thin cream band is visible below a the very dark grey to black surface. Possibly Poole/Wareham fabric 1b. Two conjoining sherds and one other from open bowls with a small bead rim. (type 13 bowl). This type generally dates from the 1st century Ad in Dorset.

One large body sherd of coarse pottery. Reduced dark grey core and oxidised orange-red surfaces. Poorly sorted coarse sand temper (up to 2 mm) with occasional stone pieces (up to 4 mm). Irregular wall thickness. Handmade with visible coils in section. Very little abrasion.
