13 sherds of black burnished ware vessels. Wareham/Poole harbour fabrics. Reduced grey to black fabric with occasional oxidised patches. Tempered with quartz sand from coarse to quite fine grained. The surfaces are heavily burnished, sometimes with visible lines. The vessels are handmade. The sherds are abraded. There are seven rim sherds and one base sherd from jars, one rim sherd from a dish, two bowl rims, one pedestal base from a bowl, and one undiagnostic body sherd. Upright, plain rim from a jar. Handmade. Sherds heavily abraded. Probably late pre-Roman iron age into early Roman-British - c. 50 BC to 100 AD.
